orthopedic foot care with smart shoe insole

As a portable gait analysis system, Insole X can fill the lower extremity information gap for practitioners in the fields of Podiatry, Physical Therapy, Pedorthics, and Orthopaedics. The smart insoles may also have potential clinical applications for patients with foot health problems, such as diabetic neuropathy. The sensor-embedded insert captures pressure data from feet. The data will be sent wirelessly to the companion software. Insole X provides feedback when dangerous time and pressure levels are detected, so you can modify behavior and avoid damage in time. Maybe it’s time to embrace the smart insole and biomechanical data generated by the insole devices’ embedded sensors.

gait rehabilitation for better walking ability

Gait rehabilitation is to improve the patients’ functional walking ability to an acceptable level for performing normal tasks, thus reducing risks for subsequent health defects. Different implementations of gait analysis systems have been evaluated to measure accurate gait data, but these expensive and complex equipments are not suitable for daily use, Insole X doesn’t have the limits of such things and can provide real time gait analysis reports.

Peripheral neuropathy is a condition that results in loss of feeling in the feet. This inability to sense and respond to tissue damage can lead to the development of blisters and ulcers, which can lead to surgical amputation. Insole X enables patients to track real-time impact of pressure on their feet and gives practitioners access to a valuable data suite. It's a simple, but powerful new tool to mitigate the negative impacts of neuropathy and inform a more comprehensive approach to preventative treatment.

People with long-standing or poorly controlled diabetes are at risk for having foot problems, they tend to have nerve damage, which means the patient may be unable to feel their feet normally. Also, they may be unable to sense the position of their feet and toes while walking and balancing.
Sennotech InsoleX can help those who suffer from diabetics get better treatment, more importantly, they will get real time alerts when abnormal pressure appears. With its high-resolution pressuresensors, the smart insole can monitor the plantar pressure with accuracy.

People with diabetes tend to develop serious problems with their feet. It can cause foot ulcers and infections, and even can lead to amputation. Sennotech InsoleX is able to help manage foot  pressure. Abnormal pressure distribution may not be noticed by diabetics in time due to sensory loss. The smart insole can measure plantar pressure changes and give the wearers real time alerts in case of emergencies.

The plantar pressure measurements during standing, walking and running smart insole smart shoes

Now the plantar pressure has been accepeted as a vital biomechanical parameter to evaluate walking of the human. The distribuation and magnitude of plantar pressure can provide useful information to diagnose varity of foot disorders12 . The plantar pressure measurments during standing, walking and running can demonstrate the pathomechanics of foot disorders and give objective measures to track disease progression. Several studies in foot biomechanics have reported the plantar pressure variations is useful to determine pathological gait. Pathological gait can be divided on the basic etiology either neuromusclar or muscloskeletal9 . The feet are considered as an important part of our body . It support not onley the whole body weight but also bears several times of body weight when we are running or splitting15 . Many research groups used the potenital of pressure measurment technology for the diagnosis and treatment of different foot disorders19 . Flexible flatfoot is one of the most common types of flatfoot. It typically begins in childhood or adolescence and continues into adulthood. It usually occurs in both feet and generally progresses in severity throughout the adult years. As the deformity worsens, the soft tissues (tendons and ligaments) of the arch may stretch or tear and can become inflamed The term "flexible" means that while the foot is flat when standing (weight-bearing), the arch returns when not standing13 . Symptoms, which may occur in some persons with flexible flat foot, include:  Pain in the heel, arch, ankle, or along the outside of the foot.  Pain associated with shin splint. General weakness or fatigue in the foot or leg13 . Pes Cavus is defined as foot with an excessively high arch. It occurs in up to 15% of the population, of which 60% will develop foot pain .the Common complaints associated with pescavus include pain under the metatarsal heads and the heel, lateral ankle sprains, and footwear issues2 . Lateral ankle instability and a laterally deviated subtalar joint axis (STJ) are frequently associated with high arched feet.
